I find it really difficult living in a small apartment at times. Things seem to be constantly piling up, spilling out and just taking up too much room. I find it therapeutic to de-clutter the rooms of my apartment, with most of the cast-offs going to the second hand shop and a few making it into my
blog shop. I'm usually left feeling a bit guilty about all the things I buy that are never put to good use, so one of my resolutions this year is to buy less and give away more.
I love seeing how other people make the best of their living spaces and of course before and after photos are great inspiration when freshening up my own home. I was particularly impressed by how the owner of this not-so-glamorous hunting cabin turned it into dream Victorian-inspired cottage. She scoured garage sales and second hand stores to find all the furnishings and finishing touches needed to complete the $3000 project and now uses the cottage in the forest as her own personal little retreat.
