{ Miu Miu inspired }

Wore this to take my brother and then my sister shopping today. This is the first of these skirts I have made (based on the Miu Miu dress from SS 08) and I'm very pleased with how it has turned out. I am wearing the XS/S and am also going to do a M/L size, plus reverse colours.

I'm planning to sew more of these plus other original designs to sell at the Gilles Street markets in June!

It looks awesome!!!
out of interest, is it one whole fabric or you sew the colour stripe seperately?

omg i love it! it would be awesome if you made it with your own colours..so picked totally different colours than the miumiu one. That miumiu collection was one of my favourite collections of all designers and all seasons.

Wow good job on the skirt! Any chance you would sell these via etsy or your blog?
You are way too good at putting together collages and inspirational clippings!

Wow, your skirt turned out so nice! That's so great your selling your original designs in a market! So exciting. :)

Thanks for your positive comment. The pressure of blogging definately changed my perspective of blogging entirely. It's great you're doing what you want with your blog. It really shows and it's a wonderful one. I am uber jealous of your layout. You must tell me how you get it so wonderfully cute. :)

so so so so so so so so so so so (you get the point) sooooooooooooo cool Miss Suchi! I am in awe of your seamstressing skills! Did you use a template! Gah! All the best in setting your wee boutique up. Continue making cute wee skirts like that and it'll be a hit for sure! :D

Hope your sunday isn't as chilly as mine. Its freeeeeeeeeeezing here! :*(

Natalie - Thanks hon! Yeah, I am literally counting down the days :D Ah it took me days to get the blog layout just right. I read through the code and experimented until I understood what changes what and also googled how to do certain things (like how to get two columns, for example).

If there is one or two things in certain you need help with let me know cos I am looking for more ideas for geeky DIY's ;) x

Jessie - Haha I wish, that would have made things a lot quicker/easier. I had to sew all the colours together, sew the lining in and then the elastic and hemline. I will post more pics soon as I just finished the black one today! x Sushi

Eeli - Ohh thanks, I think I'm slowly getting better :) No template! Just made it all from scratch with some pointers from my grandma. Fingers crossed they sell well!

Haha it's bloody freezing here too - I have four layers on and I'm still cold. Hope you had a good weekend x Sushi

ahhhhh I love this so much :) you always have the best skirts :) Im turning into a geek now :) I got twitter on my blog, I only need to figure out how to make it look nice.. and I was looking into the label clouds.. kind of scary to edit the html.. somethings are still hard to figure out though.. the background images, how to get rid of the frames and how to change frames etc... I thought there would be more blogger templates all over the internet that would be easy to install.. hehe maybe an idea for you to design templates :)
