{ Petticoats & Chloe booties }

I went out for a few drinks in the hills a few nights ago and thought it was a good time to uncover the beauties that are my newly acquired Chloe Silverado booties! I also tried out this double layered tulle petticoat I found on eBay. I love how it looks peeking out from a dress or skirt and it adds more volume under heavier layers.

I've also been using my new Luella Military Disco bag non stop since it arrived a week or so ago. I'm going to take better photos soon because it's hard to see the detail and gorgeous heart padlock in these photos. It's surprisingly heavy for such a small bag but the leather is amazingly soft.

It was also cool enough that night for me to wear my Thurley Felicity wool cardigan. It's so soft and cuddly (and has pockets, which is always a plus!).

Love the shoes, the heel looks very comfortable. Do you have a new camera or are you editing your photos differently? The photos look different, Holga-like.

Chelsea Nicole. - I purchased them off of someone on the Vogue forums :) Thanks very much x

Mary - They are pretty comfortable thanks to the hidden platform and soft leather. I've been trying some different techniques with editing my photos - do you like them better like this or like before? x Sushi

I like the photos like this! It's very 70s. Maybe you can put a poll up for readers to decide?

If you can be bothered, you can try and blur and desaturate the background a little so that you and the clothes become the focus. It's all about experimenting.

Hi Sushi,

Great post.

Mary - Oh I might also try blurring the background in some. Thanks for the tips ;)

alycia - Scooter made an inspired version of the buckle up booties last season. I saw a pair floating around on eBay the other week x Sushi

Faux Fuchsia - I'm afraid I'm a bit useless when it comes to gardening -_-; I'm renting so we only have a share 'garden' that is tended by a hired gardener. We do have a small BBQ pit out the back though that has been overtaken by giant weeds - not looking forward to trying to tame them x Sushi

LADY REBEL - I'm considering getting a black one too cos I love it so much! x

Susan - I purchased the cardi from theoutnet.com a little while ago for about $180 but I think they're sold out now. They sometimes pop up on eBay though - good luck finding one! x Sushi

I adore the outfit! I'm 5"11 so dresses are often very short on me- but I think now I might add a petticoat to give a little more length and make my outfit a touch more feminine ;) thanks for the inspiration!

I have the buckle version of these shoes - surprisingly comfortable for their height they are. I really need to wear them more this winter - I like the black tights with them.
